How long does it take to ship out my order?

Most orders received Monday–Friday by 11:00 am CST ship the same day. Same Day Shipping is subject to product availability and holiday restrictions. Please see our Shipping Policy for more info.


 

How are shipping costs calculated?

How do I cancel or change my order?

Once an order is submitted, it is immediately sent to our warehouse for processing, and if the order has not shipped, you have the option to change or cancel the order. Please contact us immediately.

Can I get a refund?

Microplane® produces only the highest quality goods and we want you to be completely satisfied with our product. However, if you are not satisfied, we have a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee which allows you to return an item in its original, unused condition (including all original packaging and tags) within 30 days for a full refund, less shipping costs.

Why isn’t my promo code working?

Please enter the code exactly as it appears on our site or in the offer you received. If the code is entered correctly but still not working, please verify it is not expired, and the items you are attempting to order are eligible for the specific promotion. If entered correctly, not expired and order is eligible and code is still not working, please contact us at service@microplanedirect.com.


 

How does your Free Shipping work?

If available, the free standard shipping promotion applies only to shipping costs on orders over the specified amount of the promotion.

Free standard shipping promotion only applies to Standard Shipping option. Promotion excludes Second Day Shipping and Next Day Shipping, for which listed rates apply.

Free standard shipping promotion only applies to delivery addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. The promotion does not apply to shipments sent to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO addresses or P.O. Box addresses. Orders must ship to a single address.

Free standard shipping promotion is not valid if items in an order are canceled, bringing the subtotal below the specific amount of the promotion.

Promotion will be applied as a credit toward the shipping and handling fee.

Consumers are responsible for all shipping costs incurred for returned items.

Promotion not valid for cash or cash equivalent or towards previous purchases.

How do I return an order?

Microplane Direct web purchase returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number which can be acquired via the web form found in the “Returns/Exchanges” link, via email at service@microplanedirect.com or via phone at 956-777-6272.

Items need to be returned in their original, unused condition with all original packaging within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, less shipping costs.


 

Can I ship my order to multiple locations?

If you would like to ship items to multiple locations, you will have to create multiple orders. Shipping rates are applied to each individual order.

How do I clean my Microplane Kitchen Tools?

You can always browse to the exact product page and see the ‘Use and Care’ section of the page for specific instructions on each product.

Most Microplane Kitchen Tools are top-rack dishwasher safe, with the exception of the covers and any tops or lids. We recommend you rinse the tools in warm water immediately after use to assist with the removal of any trapped particles. After soaking the tools, brush off any particles with a cleaning brush and stroke in the same direction as the teeth.

ALWAYS exercise extreme caution when handling sharp objects.

Our “Colorblind” products are discounted products that have slight discoloration to the plastic, may include less popular color handles or may simply be overstock merchandise. Our “Sticker Deal” products are discounted products that may be prepackaged for retail merchandising and may include retail stickers, labels or other forms of retail packaging. What are “Factory Seconds”?

Our “Factory Seconds” products may contain factory blemishes such as discoloration to the plastic, misaligned labels, and minor dings and scratches. These products function just the same as our regular stock as they feature the high-quality, unsurpassed Microplane blade technology.


 

How do I remove the adhesive labels from the kitchen graters and covers?

We are constantly working with our vendors who provide the product labels to get the most agreeable and removable adhesives possible. These efforts have received mixed success. We have found the best way to remove the sticky residue from our product labels is olive oil.

Apply a liberal amount of oil to the sticky surface and massage it in. The oil combines with the sticky substance and alters it making it no longer sticky. You are then able to wash off the resulting sludge with soap and water. This is safe and non-toxic, perfect for food related tools. For particularly stubborn adhesive, allow the oil to sit overnight on the area to allow for penetration into the hardened adhesive.
