Gourmet Series Coarse Grater

Used by chefs and gourmands everywhere!

The Microplane Gourmet Series Coarse cheese grater has an expansive paddle with ample grating surface and US made stainless steel blades. Microplane's coarse blade is a basic choice for multiple grating tasks.  It can be used to grate chocolate, pulp carrots and shred hard cheeses.  Ultra-sharp photo etched teeth make fast work out of grating carrots, coconut, and cheese.  The stainless steel frame provides extraordinary durability.  The soft touch handle matches back to the premium classic series zesters.   The non-skid foot adds stability when grating on counters and plates.

Use a Coarse Grater for:

Carrots, Chocolate, Coconut, and Hard Cheeses.  The results will be small gratings.

Is there an attachment for this grater?

Yes, it is sold separately as item 45057 and can be used to grate small items like garlic, small nuts, and nutmeg.

What is the difference between this coarse blade and other coarse blades offered by Microplane?

The only difference in blades is the size or area for grating.  You can expect the same photo-etched, ultra sharp performance from all Microplane graters. Each family of graters has a different handle, or different frame construction to provide a wide variety of choices in style, price, and color.

What happened to the red version?

The red handle has been discontinued from the Gourmet Series line.

Use and Care
  • Top-rack dishwasher safe. Hand wash the cover.
  • We recommend rinsing your grater in warm water immediately after each use. Remove trapped particles from the non-sharp side whenever possible. To remove trapped particles on the front, first, soak the tool in warm water and then use a cleaning brush to stroke in the same direction as the teeth.
  • Store with blade covered when not in use.
